Blackpool Transport Services
Serving a population of more than 150,000 people and an estimated 20 million visitors a year, Blackpool Transport operates tram services on the Fylde Coast between Fleetwood and Starr Gate. A commitment to responding to customer feedback while providing even better value for money has helped Blackpool Transport encourage more people to leave their car at home and take the tram instead. Alongside improvements to its regular services, it has also been successful in reviving its heritage operations, running regular tours on the seafront by popular demand. A key element of the operator’s success over the past 12 months has been the creation of a 16-strong sales team to provide face-to-face travel advice as part of wider moves towards buy before you board.
