Aberdeen International Airport (AIA), part of AGS Airports, is the UK’s busiest heliport and gateway to Europe’s energy capital, contributing £110m annually to the economy and supporting 3,400 jobs. In 2024, celebrating its 90th anniversary, AIA welcomed 2.4m passengers, maintained a CAA “Good” PRM rating, and enhanced security with Campus Watch. It advanced sustainability by adopting Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil fuel, procuring three EVs, and publishing a Noise Action Plan (2024–28). Passenger experience improved with new scanners and customer care initiatives, while the ABZ Propeller Fund awarded £30,000 to local projects. AIA also led the repatriation of Alex Salmond, highlighting operational professionalism. By combining resilience, innovation, and community focus, AIA reinforced its role as a trusted, forward-looking airport.
